Swimming in a Pool with Keanu Reeves

March 2, 2010

This all started when I ran into some old friends from the Agency world.  I love reminiscing about those old war stories.  Staying up until 3am working on a deck only to have the computer crash, knowing what kind of day you are going to have just by the color of what your boss is wearing, and of course trying to decipher the latest hot MBA chart that your client learned about in a seminar (I especially hated those Six Sigma ones)!

But with the advanced Powerpoint degree, you also get a nice cushy expense account.  Ah, yes, an expense account.  I remember how we used to stay at some posh places and run with an A List crowd.  Staying at the Chateau Marmont where I rode the elevator with Michael Stipe and swam in the pool with Keanu Reeves.  Or dinner at The Ivy where Lisa Bonet and Shirley MacLaine were also in attendance.

But those were the days of big expense accounts (now mine’s just a tad smaller).  I have a feeling when we begin our travels our accommodations may be a little different.  I’m thinking a sleeping bag in a rental car.  Actually, I don’t think we can afford the rental car.

Oh well, at least I won’t have to do any of those crazy MBA charts.  oh wait, Buzzkill has an MBA.  oh, nooooooooooo

OK Spinner…I’m dreaming of some great charts now, might even dust off an old Six Sigma one – we could definately improve our processes!

‘Tho I do yearn for the days with a big expense account myself and world travel – maybe a road trip might be in the works, but hopefully it will be near a campground!
