Da Bears

January 19, 2011

Unless you have been living in a cave, you are aware that the Chicago Bears will be having a huge game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, claimed by many to be the biggest Chicago sports event in history…pretty big stuff. The hype is so big around here that people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Previously scheduled birthday parties, baby showers and our Smashing photo shoot on the big day are throwing people into hysterics falling to their knees with hands in the air asking, “Why God, Why?”.

Our photo shoot which is probably the most critical component to our launch next to the goods themselves has been scheduled for this Sunday for a couple of weeks. Immediately after the Bears won the playoff game last Sunday, I called my husband who was at the game and said, “Go Bears”. “Go Bears!”, he replied. I gently reminded him that he was “scheduled” to babysit his kids this upcoming Sunday, should it really be called babysitting when they are your own kids?! His unusual calmness and “we need to talk” when he gets home was unsettling.

He informed me that he had tickets to go to the biggest game in Chicago history this Sunday. Now, I’m not an idiot or an unusually cruel person, I would never expect him to not go to this game. We worked out the details and the kids won’t be left home alone or anything, so don’t worry. I told Spinner and JD about the situation and told them we would streamline the shoot and start at 9am to ensure that nobody will miss anything. Good thing the shoot is at JD’s house, because I thought we were going to lose her for a moment. I suggested that she invite the photographer to stay to watch the game with a bowl chili. GO BEARS!

Hey – I’ll be leaving you the key if I manage to get tickets – make yourself at home! lol
