Fifty Shades of Grey

Spinner and I had our weekly status meeting last night and we both left with a very long “To Do” list.  I get home and contemplate the to do list, but then spy “The Book” on my side table.  Maybe I’ll just read 1 chapter and then onto my To Do list.  Several hours later……So to everyone that received Smashing emails from me at 3:00 am and have to deal with my lack of sleep today, I’m blaming Christian and Anastasia – I do hope the emails were coherent!

For the record, I’m only reading it because I hate not knowing what everyone else is talking about – well, that’s the story I’m sticking to! Some advice, make sure that you have several days worth of ready prepared food in your freezer, you won’t have time to cook.

One of the topics we covered last night was our Spring 2013 color palette.  More will be revealed next week – but we’re going to post 3 color palettes for this collection and see what you, our loyal followers, think.  But ironically, grey may feature heavily. We’re also looking for an inspirational theme for the next line, but I’m pretty sure it will not feature leather or ropes, but Spinner is trying to convince me of other embellishments.

What is always comical about Spinner and my color discussions, is that we’re never in agreement in what the color is called.  If you remember my blog last summer In Your Face Spinner!, we cannot even agree on the color of tennis balls – they’re yellow.

Last week as I was on the way to meet her at the radio station, and I called to clarify directions.  I asked if she was in the parking lot of the brown building, and she replies – “OK, I guess so….”, but there I find her in the parking lot of the brown building.  We also have a long running debate on eggplant vs purple, so I think we’re just going to have to agree to disagree on colors names.

So we’ll be needing your help next week.  We’ve narrowed the choices down to 3 palettes for your comments & votes. But in order to keep the peace here, we’ll also need you to help us identify and name the colors of the winning palette.

Well….Cutting this blog short, as I think I might have enough time to squeeze in 1 quick chapter before my meeting with our sample-maker this morning!
